Getting back on the running track

Last week was not a good week for training due to work obligations and complacency (not necessarily in that order.)

The cold and icy weather has forced me inside to use the treadmill aka Satan’s Conveyor Belt or weapon of ass reduction or Winter’s Love Machine. One minute on that machine seems like an eternity. I could probably fall asleep on it if I allowed myself to.

However, I recently got a YMCA membership and was introduced to the rowing machine and the arc. I hate the elliptical, another boring piece of equipment. But, the arc and the rower are 2 that really excite me. So, as part of using this blog to keep myself accountable to myself, I will get back to running and cross-training beginning at 4pm this afternoon. I will run a minimum of three days and cross train on the opposite days.

Hopefully, my water shoes will arrive this week and I can add aquacises to the cross-training.
