I began this HM training program through MyFitnessPal and after doing some tweeking, I have met a middle ground that I can live with.
Since I have no set plans for an HM, I can take this plan up from a few weeks to a few months (I chose the latter). My goal is to do a HM after my 70th birthday, next March. I am thinking either in Philadelphia or Baltimore, having run in both those cities.
My goal of clocking 40 miles for July has been surpassed and I think I will end the month with close to 50 miles. Dare I up that to 60 miles for August?
My pace is slowly getting back to where it was last September. I think another month and I’ll be back at a 14 minute mile.
Today was the first day that I ran with no lidocaine patch patch.
